The JHS-183 consists of just two components, display and transponder.
The components are light and compact with only one coax cable between the display and transponder required.
This allows for a straightforward installation approach, significantly reducing the installation time.

The following information are communicated between AISs:
Static Information
Ship Name, MMSI number, IMO number, Call sign, type of vessel, LOA & Beam,Position of GNSS antenna.
Dynamic Information
Ship's position, UTC, Course over ground (COG), Speed over ground (SOG), Ship's heading, Rate of turn, Navigation condition (Maneuvering, Anchoring, Mooring, etc.).
Voyage Related Information
Drought, Type of cargo, Destination, ETA Safety related message: Safety message, addressing message.
